Holy heatwave! Summer is in full effect and I don’t know about you but it is hot as hell here in Jamaica. When I step outside my car, office or out of my humble abode, I start sweating like a hooker in church. Yes, it’s that serious. As a result, I’ve been wearing alot less clothing than norm these days.
I’ve always been a fan of the infamous two piece set trend. It’s a easy and fast look that not only leaves you looking and seeming stylish (even if you don’t consider yourself a fashionista), you will look put together and feel great rocking your outfit. The set that I wore,I bought about three months ago. I was contacted by The Helpful Vegan boutique on Instagram about doing a collaboration with them and I accepted. I ended up choosing the Coastal Set as I thought the style was super cute. The material has a blue vertical stripe print, is really lightweight and extremely comfortable. I’m pretty tall ( 6’1″ to be exact) and the shorts were high waisted and gave me enough booty coverage as well. It was perfect for the Sunday sightseeing I went on, in addition to taking pictures for this post. Comment below what your favorite summer style has been. Until next time. Xoxo.

While I was going through some pictures on my laptop, I stumbled upon a photo album that was dated Summer 2017. This time last year was bittersweet for me so I cautiously opened it up. As I scrolled the items, I smiled a bit as it brought me back to a place of contentment. If my memory serves me right it was the first outfit post I ever did for my old blog website. I thought I’d share it here in the form of a post. A little throwback don’t hurt anyone right? 🙂 By the way, yes that’s me in the pictures. Yes I had short hair with shaved sides. I’m in the process of growing out my hair now, and I currently wear faux locs (naturalistas will know the struggle). Just thought I’d add that info so when you see a recent post of me, you don’t become entirely confused. Until next time. Xoxo.
Gold is basically my favorite metal. Gold, Rose Gold, Yellow Gold. You name it, I’m into it. On any given day, it’s hard not to find me wearing it whether it’s my earrings, necklace or wristwatch or I’ll just OD on everything all at once. So I know what you’re thinking, gold is expensive, right? Sure it is, but if you are like me and definitely a gold kinda girl or guy, you learn to improvise a bit. I have genuine gold pieces that I wear almost daily, and then when I wanna switch things up, I have a few gold filled and gold plated pieces in my collection as well. I was recently contacted by a company named Black White Gold Jewelery on Instagram and they were generous enough to send me a gold plated necklace that I instantly fell in love with. I decided to wear the chain for a week or so because before writing this post because I really wanted to feel it out. The necklace is gold plated and even though I can’t get it wet as I do my genuine pieces, the quality of it stands firm otherwise and is really beautiful. After receiving it, I actually purchased two more necklaces and a pair of earrings (all of these were gold filled) on Ebay through a Chinese seller and all the items are of excellent quality. I’ve included pictures of my new babies and links to where I got my pieces if you are interested in getting some merch for yourself to accessorize your summer outfits. Comment below what your favorite jewelry metal to wear is and why. Until next time. Xoxo.

Hey All! Since my roadtrip, I’ve been working on some fashion ideas as I am super inspired. So I’ve been noticing that there has been a serious love for all things retro for the spring into summer seasons. And I can’t say that I hate it. After filling my soul with all the Coachella videos and blog posts via Youtube and fashion and travel blogs, I gave in to the fashion pressures and decided to indulge a bit and get some items for myself. I love all accessories but what really stood out were all the retro cateye sunglasses I kept seeing while scrolling my Instagram feed. This trend is definitely re-emerging and I don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. Heck, it probably never left to begin with. Alot of the trendy glasses companies have jumped on the bandwagon all the way to the bank and are allowing for the regular Joe or Jane to look great on a budget. These were my picks and I am loving them. I will be styling these items in up coming outfit posts as I am seriously in loveeeee. Until next time.
